I've been busy designing graduation invites the last few weeks. It kinda snuck up on me this year since I've been off the radar for a few weeks during our move. Anyways, here's a sample from one of my 2012 grads, Mitch, featured in a post a few days back to help motivate and get your own party ideas a-rockin'. Mitch works for his uncle, a totally cool and innovative builder, which I also had the privilege of photographing last summer. (see their pics here) For the design I decided to pair rich colors and blueprint-looking elements while channeling the precise ruggedness of Restoration Hardware ... I'm gonna suggest a eco-friendly matte stock for printing, my personal fav!
I love spring because its the time of year when I get to see a whole season of hard work come together in some awesome photo displays. I had the opportunity of working on a few graduate party displays and I think they are gonna rock your socks off! (If you are still wearing socks in May!)
Cheers! -Laura
P.S. 2012 Grads, Its time to get started on your party designs! If you haven't done so already e-mail me, laura@everydaycharming.com your party details and I can add your designs to my waiting list. Yep, its crazy time already!
P.P.S. Hey Peorians! My friends Deb & Ben at Relics on Adam's Street are hosting a Spring Open House this weekend, March 2nd, 3rd & 4th from 10a.m. to 6p.m. Featuring designs from Sweet Flea and Bittersweet as well as their own vintage treasures (I've heard, first hand, a new collection of awesomeness has just hit the shop straight from NYC) I can hardly wait! I'll be first in line on Saturday, see ya there!
