Had been staying in Providence, RI for a few nights at a swanky hotel I had swiped up for $65 thanks to Priceline. This was far cheaper then booking Hotels in Boston and only 45 min train ride away!
The rain in Boston kept my SLR in my hand bag much of the day, but Dave chivalrously offered to use the camera on his phone. I swear he's looking forward to the day it dies so he can have a new iphone. However, I am glad to have the pictures even if we look like drowned rats.
Perhaps it was the hundreds of hours we spent together, or the down pour, or my broken umbrella, or the little sleep we've had, but Dave and I found ourselves having a healthy marital argument on the sidewalk amongst all the other Bostonians. Thankfully, no one stopped to stare as we had a melt-down-moment... I can't even remember over what. Neither of us are good at staying mad for long, hence, the flower shop and a stop for cupcakes at Sweet. I blame my friends at Cream and Flutter for my acquired sweet tooth, but the raspberry cupcake with lemon buttercream frosting certainly smoothed things over.
The rest of the day we embraced the rain and strolled along The Freedom Trail, later lunching with my cousin, Zac near MIT. I was happy to explore the small boutiques smattered through out the Italian section and finished the evening with our friend Alex after dinner.
