She bakes, she frosts and serves ice cream too.

Hayley sat on the counter and I arranged the pastries just so. We were deep in conversation. The topic: chocolate cake, decidedly our favorite. I was vividly describing to her the most recent slice I had eaten at a cozy place called Magnolia's in Hazel, Kentucky, simply amazing!! I could talk about cake all day. Hayley and her sister, Kate are pretty passionate about cake too. I found out the two girls started a cupcake blog recently called, Cakes de Cups. They had decided to bake their way through a book of cake recipes and blog about the experience. You can find each of the recipes the girls tried here, read their opinions of each recipe as well as check out photos of the sweets.

A shout out to Roanoke's hometown bakery, Caleri's is where you'll find Hayley baking, frosting and serving Uncle Bob's delicious ice cream! Thank you to Caleri's owners Caleb and Erin Leman for inviting us to photograph in their space.

P.S. Would you cuddle a baby raccoon? If you missed her first set of photos check'em out here and here, I dare you not to squeal.

P.P.S. Remember meeting Hayley's boyfirend, Matt a few posts ago? Well, he's heading back this way on his vintage tractor and will be featured in my next blog post.

As a very side note, I'm leaving in the morning for another exciting week of Central Illinois photo sessions! Don't worry if you haven't booked yours yet, there's still time. Let's chat! E-mail me at laura@everydaycharming.com - I'd love to whip up a photo session all of your own!
