Katie and her animated pet provided me many playful moments of candidness as we took our photo parade to her backyard and neighbors barn. The second child of three, her easygoing and playful spirit quickly surfaced during this session. She has a casualness about her that makes you immediately comfortable. I could only smile (and take a photo) to watch her twirl nonchalantly in the wild grasses. Katie has such a broad array of interests that narrowing down this list was difficult. There was no way to capture each one but I'm grateful for the opportunity to highlight a few of her favorites.

growing up
I don't know what happened in the last year but these little girls are no so little anymore. It made me feel old for a moment as their parents and I tried to recall how many years I been photographing them (plus brother). Just bumped into this slideshow from last year of the threesome. So much has changed but one thing that hasn't... I still love capturing their cuteness.

...He said in a soft but confident voice, "I love Laura more then anything." They forgot about me snapping pics for a moment and recalled moments leading up to the evening he slipped a ring on her finger. It danced beautifully in the afternoon light but nothing could match the sparkle that Michael brought to her eyes with just a look.
