Of the many mansion tours in Newport we chose The Braker's, a 70 room Italian Renaissance- style palazzo inspired by the 16th century palaces of Genoa and Turin. I almost had a heart attack when I heard, "No photographs inside the mansion!". The temptation would be too much for me so I left my phone in the car so we wouldn't be asked to leave. I can't even begin to describe the grandeur this home holds. Built in 1893 during The Gilded Age by architect Richard Morris Hunt, this home transports you to another time of elegance and style. I could ramble on about this experience but instead, I would recommend visiting their website here.
One last thing for the ladies, what I'm wearing... Cafe Capri's : J.Crew / Black studded slippers : Sam Edelman / Leather cropped jacket : The Loft / Silk blouse : Ann Taylor.
